Creative Decision Making

 Adapting the Concept

Following the actor availability issue, I explored multiple possible solutions, including replacing the actor, performing the role myself, or modifying the existing concept. Each option presented its own challenges. Finding a new female actor was not feasible within the limited time frame, while performing myself would have made certain planned shots particularly outdoor moving shots technically difficult to execute effectively.

As a result, I made the decision to adapt the concept while keeping the core theme intact. Instead of focusing on a female character, I shifted towards a male character who represents similar emotional experiences of isolation, identity, and internal conflict. This allowed me to continue the project with a reliable actor while also maintaining the interpretive and symbolic nature of the original idea.

Importantly, I ensured that the core message of the music video did not change. The focus remains on emotional expression rather than narrative action. Themes such as identity, self-reflection, and the pressure of societal roles are still central, but are now conveyed through a different character perspective. This demonstrates flexibility in my creative process and the ability to adapt ideas without losing conceptual depth.
